Description
The 12Volt Heated Water trough is designed for regions where winter temperatures normally remain above minus 10-15°C. Being based on a 12Volt power supply means that it can be connected to a battery in paddocks or fields that are far away from electrical installations.
The trough is fully insulated. A built in thermostat ensures in an energy-efficient way that the built-in heating foil with an output of 50W is activated when the temperature inside the base of the trough drops below 3°C.
Keeps drinking water frost-free down to minus 10-15°C, depending on placement, wind and degree of filling.
The trough is delivered ready to connect onto a 12V Battery and can also be connected to an AC/DC converter with a 12V power output . The trough is CE marked for compliance with international safety standards.
Made of food approved HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) plastic with high wear and impact resistance.
To be used outdoor or in un-insulated stables during the wintertime, when there is a risk of frost, but can also be used in other seasons.
Comes with a strap to secure to a fence post.
Design
Has a unique design specially developed for this purpose:
The upper edge is without joints, which otherwise could lead to water ingress that would destroy the insulation and heating elements.
The reinforced top rim avoids damage.
The shape is like a truncated cone with a wide bottom to ensure the Heated Water Trough stands solid on the ground.
Holds 65 litres and has a 10-litre scale on the inside.

Hygiene regulations:
The plastic parts of the trough is made of non-toxic materials in accordance with EU's food hygiene regulations.

It is possible to re-use parts of the Heated Water Trough. The plastic parts are marked with a recycling sign for correct sorting.
